Luke Blahnik –
Has lived in Chicago since 2006 and offers extensive expertise in strategic acquisition, thinking outside the box and getting creative in finding properties off the beaten path. Luke has a substantial background in helping clients find the best real estate investments, rehabs, and value-add projects.
Before moving over to @properties, Luke started Blahnik Properties, a full service residential brokerage in 2009 where he focused on acquiring property through distressed channels such as auction, bank owned properties, and short sales. He led the acquisition and rehab of dozens of properties, and has extensive construction experience.
Luke's current passion project is Avondale Bowl, an 8-lane vintage bowling alley in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago, which he restored in 2019. When Luke isn't out scouting for new investment projects, he and his wife enjoy checking out new restaurants with their son in Logan Square, the neighborhood they call home.
Clients are saying:
"Luke was such an incredible coach and guide through our first-time home buying experience. He was patient, kind, informative, optimistic, and tireless in his work with us through the process. We never would have landed where we are without his support, his vision, and his care. Thanks, Luke! We miss working with you already!"
"Amazing experience with Luke, over the top helpful and knowledgeable about the process."
"I was new to the home buying game, so the vast majority of my initial interactions with Luke started out with me saying, "I know this is a dumb question, but..."
Luke dutifully answered all my dumb questions with patience, confidence, and intelligence and then often responded to my questions with more significant questions that I had never even considered.
If I were to pick a single moment that solidified my impression that Luke is an excellent real estate agent, it would be during the initial walkthrough when Luke personally checked every single appliance, fixture and finish in the place. Being an inexperienced buyer, I just looked around and said, "place looks okay." Meanwhile, Luke was crawling around on his hands and knees to make sure the base board was flush with the floor. It was like someone told him there was $100 bill hidden somewhere inside the condo.
And aside, from being a great agent, he's a fun, interesting, dude to hang out with. I mean, he's got his own bowling alley. How cool is that?"
"Luke is by far the best agent I have ever worked with in my life. His attention to detail, knowledge of the market and his brilliant marketing plan helped me sell my home fast at a great price. He helped me through every step of the process. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a great agent."
"Luke did a fantastic job completing the sale of 1301 S. California. It was a difficult transaction due to the condition of the property but Luke's professionalism and communication skills kept the sale moving forward toward closing. Thanks Luke!"
