Buy. Sell. Gurel.
Melanie "Mel" Gurel is honored and excited to be continuing her career in real estate with @Properties after a brief hiatus to focus on her family and raising her three boys. A current resident of Buffalo Grove, she has served as an agent to clients from the city of Chicago to the far North and Northwest suburbs – from sellers, first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, and investors.
Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, she has spent the last 25 years living and working everywhere from the South Loop of Chicago, to East Rogers Park, to Wheeling, to Round Lake and back again.
An active volunteer with School District 96 (Kildeer/Countryside) for several years, she has gained much perspective and knowledge about the diverse community served by both Districts 96 and 125 (Stevenson HS) which encompasses a huge swath of many towns and villages of the Northwest suburbs. Every year the influx of new people from all parts of the country and globe reveals the unique needs of a highly diverse population intent on living, working, and raising families within the boundaries of some of the top-rated elementary, middle, and of course high schools in the country. Besides becoming an expert on the housing options available to people who wish to live in these desirable enclaves of Lake County, Mel has realized the importance and value of being an active volunteer and resident who calls these neighborhoods home. She looks forward to also serving in the role of trusted neighborhood REALTOR – for those moving in and those moving on – as new construction projects loom on the horizon altering the ever-changing face of Lake County, Illinois.
Whatever your real estate goals - to be a landlord or a tenant, a first-time buyer or a last-time seller - Mel Gurel is here to happily and professionally represent you in the deal. Her goal is to make your property transaction as stress-free as possible. The very BEST part of her business are the people that are her clients – for there is no greater reward than helping them find their way home.
