The City of Plano has a superhero past.
Smallville Superfest commemorates the summer of 2011, when Man of Steel was filmed in downtown Plano. The festival brings thousands of people to participate in Superman-themed activities, watch live bands, and see the cool cars of Cruise Nights. Smallville Museum also honors Plano’s status as one of the movie’s primary filming locations as Superman’s hometown.
