Yorkville

Situated along the Fox River, Yorkville draws residents with an array of recreational activities such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and hiking. Residents and visitors also enjoy several parks with baseball fields, disc golf, and playgrounds.  

Silver Springs State Park is a natural oasis with things to do year-round. From camping and horseback riding to cross-country skiing and snowmobiling, there are plenty of ways to experience the great outdoors. Harris Forest Preserve offers another 90 acres to take in the beautiful surroundings. For more outdoor adventures, the town is home to Raging Waves, the largest waterpark in Illinois.  

A flourishing downtown also contributes to Yorkville's charm. Popular restaurants and shops line the streets, as well as Fox River's Edge Theatre where local talent is featured nightly. Seasonal events and festivals are held downtown throughout the year, including the Summer Solstice Indie Music Festival and Yorkville River Fest.  

Located approximately 50 miles west of Chicago, Yorkville is easily accessible via highways and nearby interstates such as I-55 and I-88.
