Harbert

Located just 90 minutes from Chicago, Harbert is a thriving Lake Michigan community. Founded by Scandinavian families, this small town has a rich heritage that is still evident today. Harbert was once the home of poet Carl Sandburg, and while the town has changed since Mr. Sandburg’s days, it still exudes the same charm and character with its many art galleries, antique shops and restaurants.
