It’s only a short trip to downtown Chicago, but Lincolnwood residents have plenty to enjoy right in their backyard. Open-air concerts, festivals and classical concerts performed by the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra are just a few of this Village’s attractions.
In addition to beautiful music, residents enjoy a wealth of parks and recreation with pools, tennis courts and baseball diamonds, nearby forest preserves and bicycle trails. The Village’s parks department manages 13 parks, an aquatics center and a huge community center.
Shopping includes Lincolnwood Town Center, an indoor mall with over 100 shops as well as dozens of independent merchants that greet customers by name. Dining options include a popular barbeque restaurant where a scene from Ocean’s Twelve was filmed.
Homebuyers will find a variety of homes in several styles and price ranges including condominiums, well-maintained bungalows and new custom construction single-family homes.
Lincolnwood high school students attend highly acclaimed Niles West High School, part of District 219 in neighboring Skokie. Lincolnwood is part of the Oakton Community College District in Skokie. In addition, three universities are within 10 miles of the village including Northwestern, Loyola and Northeastern Illinois.
Two Metra commuter rail lines provide residents express service downtown. Commuters also can take a public bus to catch the CTA’s Blue and Yellow L lines.
