Three Oaks

Charm, culture and fine dining…Three Oaks has it all. And that’s only the beginning.

With rural character, a quaint downtown and a tightly knit community Three Oaks is the arts and cultural center of Harbor Country. It’s the quintessential small town depicted in movies and in fact, its main street was featured in the film “Prancer.”

Residents and visitors enjoy regular concerts, live theater performances at the famous Acorn Theater, and a classic art house movie theater, The Vickers. The town also has galleries, boutiques, fine dining establishments, an organic distillery and a farmers’ market.

During the summer, residents and visitors enjoy a summer concert series “Music in the Park,” which is held every Saturday night in Dewey Cannon Park. Hometown pride is evident on Flag Day, when Three Oaks hosts its annual community parade. Local beaches in the Lake Michigan waterfront communities of New Buffalo and Union Pier are also accessible.

Three Oaks real estate offers many different home styles. Despite being inland from the lakefront, housing stock remains very similar to the other Harbor Country communities. Rich with cottages, farm houses, condominiums and townhouses, Three Oaks provides an affordable entry into Harbor Country.

Students in Three Oaks attend Three Oaks Elementary School, Chikaming Elementary School, River Valley Middle School and River Valley High School.

Five miles inland from the Lake Michigan waterfront, Three Oaks is approximately 90 miles from downtown Chicago.
