JC Griffin is the founder and managing principal of GVG Real Estate Advisors (GVGRE) and focuses his practice on investment dispositions and acquisition transactions in addition to representing clients through tenant and owner agency matters. GVGRE is a real estate advisory group associated with Chicago's @properties real estate firm offering a suite of professional brokerage and commerical real estate advisory services. GVGRE services clients in contract negotiation, location incentive analysis and general real estate transaction matters, and is specialized in assisting clients with mixed-use, retail, office and special-use assets primarily in Illinois, North Carolina and Florida.
Mr. Griffin is often sought after by developers, non-for-profit organizations, private enterprises and government agencies to assist in coordinating tax incentive offerings, regulatory affairs, site selection assistance and general real estate development issues. Mr. Griffin has experience servicing private equity firms and family offices in the management of investment strategies and also provides guidance to early-stage investors in transaction structuring, finance procurement and investor relations.

Outside of his professional work, JC is involved with several philanthropic and non-profit organizations throughout Chicago, and enjoys partaking in sporting events, live theatre, concerts of the musical arts, travel and international culture.
Prior to real estate, Mr. Griffin managed a career in the public service sector primarily concentrating on capital planning & policy, transportation infrastructure, intragovernmental relations and economic development issues as an advisor, aide and consultant within Cook County Government, Illinois' Department of Transportation and the U.S. House of Representatives. Antecedent to his work in government administration, JC managed labor affairs and transportation operations for the Norfolk Southern Railroad Corporation and served honorably in the United States Air Force fulfilling eight collective years in the U.S. Department of Defense as a Combat Readiness Airman and C-130 aviator.
